A HUNGARIAN SWORD AND SCABBARD BY BUCHLER & RAUSNITZ.
Probably an 1861 Pattern Mountain Troops sword with a 70cm slightly curved fullered blade with sharpened edge, the blade marked 'Buchler & Rausnitz Budapest to one side and Weyersberg & Stamm Solingen to the other, with a strap guard, wire bound grip and rounded pommel, with a gold and blue sword knot with elaborate tassel, in a steel scabbard with single ring suspension. 89cm overall.
