WWI DORSET INTEREST: A GEORGE V SILVER TEAPOT

by William Aitken, Birmingham 1913, of early 19th century style, the squat bulbous body with triple reed banding, wooden handle, on ball feet, 10.5 tr. ozs gross, engraved to rim "Presented to Sister Suffield by the Commandants, Quartermasters & Members of V.A.D. Dorset 82. 86. 80 January 30th 1919", also engraved "Ryme 1915-1919"

Note: Sister Suffield was a WWI V.A.D (volunteer) nurse, whilst Ryme was a WWI hospital located in Old Castle Road, Weymouth.
