AN EDWARD VII TRANSPORT MEDAL TO THE CAPTAIN OF THE TROOPSHIP 'AURANIA'. A Transport Medal with 1899-1902 clasp, named to A. McKay in Command. The Cunard liner R.M.S. Aurania, which had been launched in 1883, was requistioned by the government on the outbreak of the Boer War. She served as a troop ship between 1899 to 1903 carrying over 30,000 officers and men. Mounted for display with copied research.
