£250 - £400
A PAIR OF GEORGE III WAITERS by Robert Jones and John Schofield, London 1775, of plain circular form raised upon three claw and ball feet, with cast and applied beaded rims and centrally engraved with scroll initials, 7" diameter, 15ozs 15dwts total (Est. plus 24% premium inc. VAT)
One is very thin with the centre pushing in very easily, also with 'tear' to the silver but these do not appear to be repairs, however, the there is a small hole to the centre (in the middle of the central engraved initial) 8ozs. The other thicker example surprisingly weighs less at 7ozs 15dwts, here the central 'hole' visible on the reverse does not go all the way through. Both have clear matching marks.
