A highly important collection, featuring original and copy photographs from the earliest days, with some well-defined images from the 'Coal Scuttle Bonnet' period, a good selection of both private and promotional postcards, full-plate and half-plate coach-builders' promotional photographs, featuring Henri Gauthies of Lyon, Kelsch et Cie, Faurax, and others. Many images with manuscript captions verso, several photogravure-style commercial vehicles and family scenes. All appear to be in good fettle. (4)
