1838 Valentine lettersheet depicting a lady in a country scene, handpainted with a verse below, posted from Richmond to "Miss Hedworth, Icacia Cottage, Hampton Middx" by London Cross Post with flat top handstruck "3" and large "RICHMOND / MG" datestamp (Feb 26), fine and attractive, very unusual with the uncommon cross post charge mark.
