A First World War German 'Butcher' bayonet and scabbard, the 36.8cm pointed, fullered blade with saw-back, marked to the ricasso 'Waffenfabrik Mauser A.G. Oberndorf aN' also marked to the back of the blade 16 beneath a crowned 'W'. With steel scabbard and leather frog and belt hanger. 52cm overall.
