A finely painted and lacquered papier-mâché mirror case from 19th century Qajar Iran, featuring a vibrant depiction of a noble figure seated cross-legged with two attendants, enclosed in an oval cartouche. The surrounding borders are richly adorned with intricate floral motifs and gold highlights, framed by vibrant geometric patterns in red, green, and black tones. Arabic inscriptions in Nastaʿlīq script run along the borders, adding poetic and possibly devotional verses.
