A scratch built Museum quality 1:192 scale model by Herbert Sitford of H.M.S. Starling U66. A Gold Medal and Mount Batten Trophy winner for the best Warship Model at the 1997 Model Engineer Exhibition at Earls Court London. A modified Black Swan Class Sloop launched in 1943, decommissioned in 1965. This fine model is exceptionally well detailed with all deck guns, Captains launch, life boats, rigging, open bridge, etc. Finished in battle ship grey. Mounted in a wood based Perspex case. Model is 47cm overall length. Cabinet is 59cm x 22cm. Complete with paperwork/history of the vessel and a published printout from Model Shipwright profiling of H.D. (Bert) Sitford. £175-225
