77th Foot (East Middlesex) Regiment Helmet Storage Tin. A rare example circa 1878-80 period for the Home Service Pattern Helmet retaining the original brass oval plaque with engraved name CAPT W. S. HENDERSON 77TH REGT. Surface rust, interior good Attributed to Captain William Samuel Henderson, who was commissioned into the Regiment May 1859, Lieutenant October 1863 and Captain August 1873. His name appears in the 1880 Army List.
