A large Thai lacquered bronze bust of Buddha, 17th/18th century, with serene expression, the robes cast in low relief with brocade patterns, later stand, total height 65cm

The Buddha is incomplete with losses below the torso and the arms, missing the flame finial on top, patches of original gilding in places but much wear and losses to the lacquer, evidence of old repairs and splits to the back and right arm, a highly decorative piece
