A rare wheel indexing typewriter, invented by Carl Sjoberg of Brooklyn, New York, made by the Garvin Machine Co. of New York and sold as 'The Peoples Typewriter' starting in 1893. The final version was 'The Champion' in 1895. Serial number 8925, with black, branded metal cover
