In the manner of Paul Gauguin (1848-1903), small pencil sketch on paper, double sided having the back of a soldier and mans bust to one side, female figure and one other on the other side, the paper is watermarked with 'L Bervill', one side has the PG monogram, the other side is indistinct, is measures 6 1/4" x 4 3/4" (the paper has rough edges, foxing and staining), to accompany the sketch are four photographs each marked for the British Museum on the back, these appear to catalogue the sketch
