A nameplate, HOWN HALL, from the (GWR) 6959 Modified Hall Class 4-6-0 No 7910 built at Swindon in January 1950 and named after the large house at Taynton, seven miles from Gloucester, later used as the farmhouse of Hownhall Farm. Allocated new on 31 January 1950 to Southall where it remained for almost fourteen years before moving to Old Oak Common, Reading and Oxford from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 6 February 1965 and cut up at Swindon Works.
