This unique work by British artist Tracey Emin is typical of her emotive figurative work, which often features the nude female body as its subject. Printmaking is an important part of Emin's artistic practice. Her monotypes are taken from her diaristic drawings. The artist will draw or paint directly onto an underlying layer, which is then transferred to paper through a press, making each print, in essence, unique.
