London Underground Poster Clifford Rosemary Ellis Zoo Nights Rhino Elephant. Original vintage London Transport poster for London Zoo Nights – open until to 11:30 P.M. on Wednesdays & Thursdays – Design by Clifford Ellis (1907-1985) and Rosemary Ellis (1910-1998) features an illustration of an elephant dressed in a bowtie and suit holding a dessert, a rhino in a grey blazer sipping on a cocktail through a straw, kangaroo, antelope, penguin, pelican and goose in the background. London Transport logo in the bottom right corner. Printed by The Baynard Press. London Zoo opened in 1828; it covers 36 acres of land and is home to nearly 20 thousand animals.
