Antique Mechanical Wooden Hat Stretcher c1900. This antique mechanical hat stretcher which dates from c1900 would have been used by a Milliner to size and manufacture hats. By turning the large metal handle the wooden hat section can be adjusted to increase or decrease the size.
These were originally used to size, stretch and manufacture hats. Today they look great on display just on their own as a work of art/sculpture or are ideal for displaying hats and wigs. Made c1900.
