CHINESE REPUBLIC PERIOD PORCELAIN PLAQUE. Possibly by Fang Yunfeng (1897-1957), the rectangular shaped panel painted with Bodhidharma crossing a river on reeds. With character marks to the top left corner, plaque 36cms by 25cms
*The porcelain plaque has a larger inscription "yi wei du jiang", which is a Buddhist saying of "a reed across the river", referring to Bodhidarma crossing the yangzi river. The smaller font is dated yi wei (corresponding to 1955), and bears signature for Fang Yunfeng (1897-1957) at Zhu Shan (which is jingdezhen).
Small graze to the top left edge, small chip to the bottom left corner, small chip to the bottom edge.
