A 19th 9ct mourning ring, the five seed pearls within a black enamel border, leading to shank (originally with plaited hair) stamped 'H&S' Chester 1881, ring size N 1/2, 2gms (at fault)

Enamel with areas of loss to the front of the ring
Residue glue to the pearls
Hallmarks are clear.
Hair has been pulled out of the ring, with remainder hair left within the channel (seen in images)
Residue seen within the channel, within and around the hair.
Tarnishing and discolouration seen to the metal.
Split/join seen to the reverse of the ring.
General scuffs, scratches and blemishes seen throughout, commensurate with age and wear.
