A George III pewter flat-lid spouted flagon, Scottish, circa 1790

Having a straight-sided tapering body, slightly flared at the base, and with a multiple reeded mid-fillet and matching reeded base, the slightly domed ‘flat-lid’ with central raised ring, twin-lobed thumbpiece, strap handle with lower struct attachment and boot-heel terminal, the drum engraved ‘Associate Con. Bothwell’, maker’s mark inside of base of Graham & Wardrop, Glasgow, (fl.1774-1812), (PS46), 81 fl.oz., height 25.5cm
