WW1 Period Royal Navy Officer's sword. A good example, the blade etched with a GVR cypher and crowned fouled anchor device. The solid gilt metal folding guard with crowned device enclosing a white shagreen grip and lion’s head pommel. Housed in leather scabbard with gilt metal mounts. Etching to blade now faint with some staining and pitting spots. Gilt mounts have been polished.
