Engine - James 500cc v-twin super sports, 28 bhp and 5500 rpm
Clutch - James, all metal multiplate
Carburettor - Twin Amac, single float on each
Fuel - PMS or RDI
The 1930 version of the James dirt track machines saw a totally redesigned engine and frame. The centre of gravity was much lower than the short lived 29 model and the engine stronger and more powerful.
