A 19th century Victorian coromandel brass mounted Gothic revival writing slope box. The writing slope having ornate metal strap hinges and escutcheon, opening to reveal a blue velvet skiver with tooled gilt leather fleur-de-lys spandrels and embossed brocade design with appointed interior with original fittings having gilt metal fixtures. Attibuted to J. Betjemann & Sons.
