1841 (Apr 1) Entire letter from Barnard Castle to Kendal bearing a 1d black, BD plate 11, three large margins, very close or just touched at upper left corner, tied by a black Maltese Cross, dispatch and arrival backstamps. A good example of this scarce plate on cover, with 2017 B.P.A Certificate stating "adhesive lifted and replaced, is genuine". S.G. £16,000. Photo on Page 8.
