BOW FRONT CASED FISH - F W ANSTISS, 1902. An early 20thc bow front glazed and wooden case, containing a Chub in a naturalistic setting. With gilt writing on the base, 'Chub, 5lbs 7oz, from the Thames 1902', with a label inside for 'F W Anstiss, 23 First Street, London', and with further labels to the reverse including an exhibition label. Case 67cms across, 18.5cms deep at widest point.
Split to the backboard with a metal rod at the back running across the boards. Some wear and paint loss to the wood in places, glass and specimen seem fine.
