PAIR OF SEVRES STYLE PORCELAIN CHARGERS - KING LOUIS XV. A pair of similar large porcelain chargers of slightly different sizes, each painted with a portrait in the centre of King Louis XV, with eight further portraits of his consorts on a bleu celeste ground and gilded decoration. Each written with names to the reverse, and both with pseudo Sevres painted marks. 50cms and 46cms diameter. (2).
Larger charger, the gilding is very worn and in some parts is missing, various marks and wear around the rim, the wire hanger has also made some marks in places. No obvious cracks or chips.
Smaller charger, gilding is quite worn around the portraits, gilded rim has a little wear in places, writing a touch rubbed in places. No obvious cracks or chips.
