A pair of Jacob Petit French porcelain dressing table scent bottles, 19th century, one modelled as a robed and bearded gentleman, the other as a lady holding playing cards, each 32cm high, the lady with painted 'JP' mark to base, both lacking stoppers (2) (at fault)
The male figure shows a loss to the index finger of the right hand. The front of the base shows a chip approximately 7mm wide and another 3mm wide to the base. The female figure shows a loss to the front of the base approximately 20mm wide, and two further losses to the back of the base each approximately 10mm wide. Both figures show surface wear and scratching (through to the porcelain in places) and rubbing to the gilt highlights (extensive in places).
