1864 (June 11) Stampless double rate cover to New York prepaid 8d (initially misrated 2/- as if to G.B, the charge deleted and altered to "8"), blue crayon "20" for the double U.S rate, with red "BERMUDA / A / PAID" c.d.s (P4) and Boston Mass c.d.s (June 21). Torn piece from upper left corner, nevertheless very scarce, just thirteen examples of this Paid type P4 datestamp recorded, several of which are very poor strikes. Ex. Ulrich and Dickgiesser.
