Baynes et al, London, 1823 Eight Volumes bound in brown leather with gilt lettering to spine, marbled end pages, fep's have previous owner's book plates, all volumes are worn at the covers to some degree, plates and maps browned and chipped. Volume 1: Contains the frontispiece and 4 maps, front board detached, top half of spine missing, corners bumped, leather generally scratched, title page has previous owner's name, pages mostly clean but with some stains, maps are browned and are torn or frayed at the edges. Volume 2: front board and end pages detached, leather missing from top and bottom of spine, general wear to covers, contains 3 maps, which are frayed at the edges and are browned. Volume 3: leather bindings are worn in places, joint between spine and front board split at the bottom, inner hinges cracking, light spotting to early pages, 3 maps, frayed at edges and browned. Volume 4: leather worn, early blank pages very grubby, 1 map. Volume 5: bottom half of spine missing, 2 maps, grubby. Volume 6: small amount of leather missing near top of spine, stains to front board, 1 map which is torn, 1 plate which is browned. Volume 7: leather worn, top of spine chipped, early pages grubby, 1 map, reverse of ffep has previous owner's name. Volume 8: leather missing at top of spine, bottom of spine pealing and bottom of joint with front board splitting, general wear, pages 17 to 32 becoming detached, 2 plates.
