Pre WW2 American Attributed Officer's Sword

32 inch, single edged, slightly curved blade with fuller.  Etched "US", American eagle, floral scroll panels and owner's name "Lawrence C Baldwin".  Forte with maker "Henry V Allien & Co New York".  Plated, three bar guard with downswept quillon.  Plated pommel and backstrap.  Black composite grip.  Contained in its plated scabbard with two loose hanging rings.  Leather sword knot.  Complete in sword transit bag.  Together with a history  of the owner.


Lawrence Chandler Baldwin.  Graduated West Point 1938.  Served with the 60th Coastal Artillery in Corregidor Philippines.  Captured May 1942, held at POW camp No 1 on Mindanao.  Died March 4th 1945 on the island of Honshu Japan.  Full history of his captivity with lot.
