A LATE 17TH CENTURY 8 DAY WALNUT MARQUETRY LONGCASE CLOCK, 11 inch dial signed below the chapter ring John Waklin Fecit, foliate engraved centre, ringed winding holes, cherub and crown spandrels, wheatear engraved border, 5 ringed pillars and inside countwheel strike, trunk door with panelled floral marquetry and oyster veneered sides, 191cm.

A pair of brass cased weights. Pendulum. No key. Movement lacking bell and bell stand, will require a thorough overhaul. Hood substantially rebuilt and top mouldings lacking. Whole base replaced, restoration to trunk door. Lifting to marquetry veneers, as reflected in the estimate. Poorly cast spandrels. Hands not original. Cheeks added to accommodate the seat board.
