SHIP WRECK MAIL - FIRE AT FALMOUTH ONBOARD THE SS INGOMA; 6 May 1921 env. Brussels to Paramaribo, Surinam (stamp floated off) with fine boxed Type 1 "DAMAGED/BY FIRE" cachet both on the front and on the resealing labels on the reverse. The hold fire whilst loading at Falmouth was extinguished by flooding the compartment and the mails were returned to London for drying. Four covers so far recorded. Scarce.
