W. Avery & Son - The Alexandria - A 19th century Victorian circa. 1870's gilt metal Avery style needle case. The case having floral repousse to centre with beaded and faux wicker to surround opening to reveal twin booklets each with vignettes of florals with cartouche above engraved with numbers corresponding to needle types. Clasp engraved 'Alexandria'. Patented to James William Lewis of Birmingham. No makers marks. Measures 52mm length.
