A worksplate, GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY, 1192, DONCASTER, 1908, from a GNR Class C1 4-4-2 Atlantic No 1444, renumbered 4444 in 1925 and allocated the number 2874 under the LNER 1946 renumbering scheme although not applied. Allocated new to Kings Cross where it spent all its working life until moving in 1941 to Hitchin from where it was withdrawn in October 1945 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Fully engraved brass, 17½"x9½", the front lightly polished. (Postage Band: D)
