A fine example of an Edwardian exhibition pen knife marked Alfred Dodson of Sheffield and set within a mother of pearl framework, fitted with 48 various tools and devices including various blades, scissors, ruler, corkscrew, spikes, propelling pencil cartridge extractor and numerous other gadgets of unknown purpose, a small number of pieces are named A Dodson, Sheffield, Alfred Dodson, B.1884 with all gadgets open total length 23cm when closed 10cm, width 6.5cm, weight 12oz or 830gm approx

We have carefully examined the piece once more, all gadgets seem to be in good order, having recounted (several times) we find 48 instruments, the mother of pearl has one small chip. From a private, local vendor.
