A rare early 19th century double barrelled flintlock blunderbuss with spring bayonet, by Jackson, London, 27½” overall, swamped steel barrels 12” with baluster muzzle rings, and with Tower private proofs, the 10½” spring bayonet released by catch on the breech tang; signed locks with safety bolts, semi rainproof pans, and roller on frizzen springs; walnut halfstock with chequered wrist, steel mounts including engraved frizzen springs; walnut halfstock with chequered wrist, steel mounts including engraved trigger guard with pineapple finial, and horn tipped ramrod with worm. Good Working Order and Condition (the barrels nicely rebrowned). Plate 6
