A rare Japanese Arita or Chinese porcelain model of a shoe, based on a Delft shape, first half of 18th century, decorated in blue and iron red enamels with flower heads, leaves and scrolling tendrils, 18cm, minor faults

Typical minor glaze imperfections. Several losses to blue enamel. Several shallow chips to edges, particularly to the upper back edge. Another two small, shallow chips to ?toe? corners. A firing crack visible to underside of heel.
