Waterloo Subscription. 1816 (Sep 21) Entire letter from the Waterloo Subscription Office posted within London, with scarce "WATERLOO / SUBSCRIPTION", red "Lombard St / 2py P. Paid" and a Two Penny Paid datestamp on reverse. The letter states that the fund is for the benefit of widows only, and no other relatives of soldiers killed. The second line of the handstamp faint in places, otherwise fine and very scarce. Photo on Page 44.
