MBE L/G 1/1/1966 as 22544873 W.O.CL.II. Barry Edward Bateman, REME TA. With copy of his Citation, born 1922, he was an engineer apprentice on the railways before the war and was a Diesel engine fitter in coal-mines in Nottinghamshire post war. Served with the 7th Royal Tanks in the Western Desert, North Africa and Italy. Re-enlisted 1951 Sherwood Rangers Yeomanry. (7)
