Charles I (1625-1649) gold Unite, Tower under the king, group D, bell mintmark (S 2692, North 2153). Obverse: smaller, left-facing 5th bust with unjewelled crown, 'XX' value mark behind and a bell mintmark above, 'CAROLVS ·D.' G.' MAG.' BR.'FR.' ET · HI.' REX ·' around. Reverse: oval garnished shield surmounted by a crown with crowned 'C' and 'R' on either side, 'FLORENT · CONCORDIA · REGNA ·' around with a bell mintmark. Weight: 8.28g. Diameter: 32mm. Grade: VF - good flan with bold details, double crimp, otherwise Very Fine. Accompanied by old dealers ticket.
