A late 19th/early 20th century Arnold & Sons flame mahogany brass bound cased Field Surgeon's Kit, the interior fitted and filled with Arnold & Sons stamped surgical instruments, mostly complete (probably missing two pieces), the case also inset with ivorine maker’s label's, 'Arnold & Sons 35 & 36 West Smithfield, the top with brass plaque, 'Presented To, Archibald Finlay, as a mark of respect by his friends & admirers on his leaving Bedlington and surrounding district, for his skill and ability shown during the three years he has practiced amongst them'. W 41 cm x H 8.5 cm x D 16.5 cm, together with a small quantity of other miscellaneous Surgeons Instruments.
