1823 (July 19) Entire letter written by Edward O'Maly, with instructions to address any reply to Mr Martin MP, the letter signed and inscribed by Richard Martin, posted from London to Edinburgh but endorsed "above 1oz" and handstamped red "ABOVE / WEIGHT" (LW2), charged 4/4½. An interesting free franking abuse that failed to save postage as the letter contained an enclosure and so was overweight.
