A good Coalport vase, circa 1845 of scrolling twin-handled form, with a reticulated upper rim, the edges picked out in turquoise and gilt, painted by John Randall with opposing panels of fancy birds on branches and in flight, Chelsea-style anchor mark, 33.5cm high Provenance: Ivor Southorn Collection. Sold together with an original newspaper page showing Bill Dickenson holding this vase to advertise the Shropshire Antiques Fair at the Lion Hotel, in February 1990.
