A large pair of Victorian-style industrial scissors, possibly a haberdashers/tailors shop trade sign, together with a large pair of barbering scissors, both made by Nancy Fouts. Along with a printed poster of the scissors used in a Silk Cut cigarettes advertisement. The larger pair, 90cm long. (2)

Footnote: Provenance: Direct from the estate of Nancy Fouts (1945-2019) See the Dawsons website article for further information As per the included poster, these scissors were probably made by Nancy Fouts whilst working in advertising with Fouts & Fowler and the Shirtsleeve Studio for the iconic Silk Cut cigarette advertising campaign. Literature: For comparable scissors, see the illustrated #161/162/163, in the 'Nancy Fouts' (2018) monograph catalogue raisonné, with essay by James Putnam.
