DOGS & CATS: A large selection of used and unused PPCs. Dogs inc. postally used cards 1903-1960s (c.120), majority pre-WWII and most showing single or small groups of dogs; while unused cards (c.140 vintage and modern) inc. numerous real photographic types inc. issues in the 'Red Heart Series' highlighting many different breed types, and colour cards (11) from a series of thirty given with De Reszke cigarettes. Cats (no Louis Wain) inc. used (23), mostly pre-WWII featuring mainly kittens or sentimental images but inc. some RP types; and unused (c.40) mostly post WWII. Lot also inc. novelty types with 'googly eyes' (5 dogs, 1 cat, 2 other) and 'squeakers' (2, both dogs). Scope for sorting into sets and types with many breeds represented especially amongst the dogs.
