Former Bristol Zoo Gardens - an original 'face in the hole' sign from Bristol Zoo Gardens, originally situated near the Lion enclosure at the entrance to the Zoo. 'A lion's roar can be heard up to five miles away,' text to top and a Lion design to the centre. Situated near the entrance, this sign was the first 'face in the hole' sign visitors encountered. Believed to have been in place c2000s to closure. Foamex board construction. Total size 92cm x 120cm.
