ANCIENT SUMERIAN WHITE STONE STATUE, CIRCA 2500 B.C. A Sumerian white stone statue, dating to circa 2500 B.C., depicting a bearded male figure in a devotional pose. The figure is adorned with a detailed beard and garments, the hands are clasped in front of the chest, symbolising piety and reverence, common in Sumerian votive statues.
