"A Veritable Coiner's Den" near Pershore. A pair of framed forgery coins and manufacturing paraphernalia from the trial of Edward John Cooper in 1932. A seemingly prolific forger who was also convicted in 1922 for counterfeiting coins and 1923 for forged banknotes. A newspaper cutting adorns the back of one of the frames. A fascinating piece of social history. Please note: we have attempted to source more information on these items and the trial without success but would make a further project for the successful bidder.
