Large bowl: The bowl rings clearly and appears to be structurally sound, with no visible chips, cracks or losses. The gilt highlights show rubbing commensurate with age and use. The interior shows the odd small firing frit and some fine surface scratching. The ground finish shows some wear which manifests as small pale speckles, with some darker speckles too. The exterior shows the odd minor glazing fault (small areas of blue in the mottled green ground), fine surface wear and fine surface scratching commensurate with age and use.

Small bowl: The small bowl shows a fine hairline crack running vertically from the rim approximately 5cm, but no visible losses. The glazed finish shows fine surface crazing throughout the interior and the exterior. The gilt highlights show rubbing commensurate with age and use.
