A .177'' B.S.A. AIR RIFLE, serial number 15173, fitted with a pistol grip stock and spade handle cocking lever, its serial number indicated it was manufactured in 1908, it has an adjustable notch rear sight, it is fitted at the breech with an early-type loading tap with side-cover and has a front trigger weight adjustment screw fitted to the front of the trigger guard, it has retained a considerable portion of its original finish on its metal parts and is in excellent working order, the stock has stamped into it Sold by Robinson, Gun Maker, 7 Queen Street, Hull whilst the other side of the stock is stamped with the B.S.A. Piled Arms trade mark, on the end of the butt someone has crudely carved the initials MOS, the top of the air chamber is stamped MADE BY THE BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS COMPANY LIMITED, since this was made before 1939 this is classed as an antique under the Antique Arms Regulations 2021 whilst kept as an ornament or curio
